Indian Union Cabinet has cleared its semiconductor policy. As a part of Make in India initiative it is very much welcome move from long term perspective.
Government will also have skin in the game and will participate by way of providing support for project costs, infra support, R&D, skill development and trainings etc.
Through this policy it is expected that lots of foreign investment would flow into the country over the period new few years and also strengthen the electronic manufacturing ecosystem.
